England?s top junior, George Parker, has signed for Eye Rackets, on a three year deal. George is No.1 in England U19 and ranked 167 on the PSA world rankings.

Joey Barrington commented: We?re delighted to welcome one of England?s brightest young players on to the team. George has been a top junior for many years and has shown a real commitment towards transitioning to the professional game. He exudes many of the qualities required by a champion and will no doubt hone these over the coming years.?

Parker trains at the Rob Owen Academy (ROA), under the watchful eye of ex-world top 20 player Rob Owen. Rob offered his view on George: ?He is an incredibly hard worker, a strong athlete and has a desire to become one of the best squash players on the planet. His technical ability is constantly improving and he?s beginning to harness that fiery nature that drives him to work harder each day. The future is bright for George, he has immense talent, and I?m pleased we?ve managed to come together with progressive brand like Eye?.

Parker hails from Leicestershire and has been England?s top junior throughout the age groups. He Has won the British Closed, English Closed (3 times), reached the British Open semi-finals, the quarter-finals in the World Junior Championships and came third in the European Junior Championships. With a new chapter in his squash career under-way, he is looking forward to moving forward with Eye: ?Anyone in the game knows that Eye are making some of the best rackets around; Shabana has been using them to great effect over the past year and I was excited to hear that they were interested in me. As soon as I picked up the racket (X.Lite 120 Control) I knew what all the fuss was about. Perfect balance and they really suit my game.?

Parker is expected to be one of the main contenders for the Junior British Closed title later this month. Matches get under-way at the National Squash Centre, Manchester, on Fri 31 Oct, with the final on Sun 02 Nov.
